Guest and Guest Account Overview

A guest account is an entity that represents a collection of guests as a whole.  It can be thought of as a household or a family or a company.  Guests are individuals that belong to one guest account.  For example, the John Doe Family is the guest account.  John Doe, Jane Doe, and Jim Doe are guests that belong to the John Doe Family guest account.  

Guest Accounts have characteristics that describe the household such as name, address, phone number, and email.  Similarly, each guest also has those same characteristics, with some additional characteristics that only apply to individuals, such as birth date.

The guest account email is the username for customer-facing portals such as eCommerce, events, rentals, and guest portal.
