You may find sometimes that your time slots don't appear even though you already added the time slots of your events in your schedule. It could be that your event or party might be a Waterfall package and missing the proper schedule settings. The purpose of a waterfall package is to link your bookings capacity with your sessions capacity. For example, if you have 10 people visiting at 2pm for a party, you may want those 10 people to also block 10 slots from your session capacity. Here's how to setup waterfall packages:
- First, you need to make sure that your event package is set as a waterfall pacakge. Go to Event Management > Package and check if the Waterfall option is enabled.
- Then, scroll all the way down on that popup window and make sure that the session product to be paired is added on the Default Upsell Product section. This default upsell product needs to be a session product. And it needs to be tied to the same site as the other session products you want blocked out when this event is booked.
- Depending on your schedule settings, make sure that the event assignment schedule and session product schedule is valid. That means, if you want to pair time slots beginning February 26, 2022, you need to make sure you have both schedules for that day is in your event and session product. Otherwise, one of the schedules won't appear in your waterfall settings and you won't be able to pair it.
- Back to the event package settings, click on the Waterfall Setup tab in your Event Package. Select the session product from the first dropdown, and the assignments from the second dropdown at the top. Then choose the date you want to show.
- To add the paired time slots, click on Manually Add Package, then click on each time block to be paired, and then click Save. You need to pair an assignment block with a session block to pair them. Keep in mind that the time blocks don't need to be the same. You can have 10 people removed from capacity in a party room from 9am - 10am, then those 10 people can remove from capacity in the session from 10am - 11am.
- Choose the "Recurring" option if you want these paired time slots to re-occur for the duration of the associated sub-schedule or you can choose "Single Day" if you want only to appear on this specific day.
- Repeat this process in steps #5 and #6 to add other paired time slots. The recurrence will need to be setup for each sub-schedule in the schedule. For example, if you have a sub-schedule that covers Monday - Friday, and another subschedule for Saturday - Sunday, you'll have to set it up for the first sub-schedule, and then again for the second sub-schedule.
- Finally, click on the Commit Changes option to apply these changes in your event settings.
- Now, you can see the time slots are now available to be booked for this event.
