Asset Import
Report Guide for Users
What this report shows, the choices you make when running it, and how to read each section.
What this report is for
The Asset Import report is a reference list of every asset type set up in your system, along with the option groups and individual options available under each type. It's meant to be used alongside an asset import — giving you the exact asset type, option group, and option names (and their internal IDs) you'll need to reference when preparing an import file.
How the report works
The report simply pulls every asset type currently configured, along with all of its option groups and options, and lists them out. There's no date range or other filtering — it always reflects your current setup.
The choices you make when running it
There are no settings to choose. The report runs the same way every time and always shows your full, current list of asset types and options.
Columns on the report
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Asset Type Id | The internal identifier for the asset type. |
| Asset Type Name | The name of the asset type (for example, a category of equipment or inventory tracked as an asset). |
| Asset Option Group Id | The internal identifier for the option group tied to that asset type. |
| Asset Option Group Name | The name of the option group (a set of related choices you can assign to an asset of that type). |
| Asset Option Id | The internal identifier for the individual option. |
| Asset Option Name | The name of the individual option within that group. |
How to read the layout
Each row shows one option, along with the option group and asset type it belongs to. If an asset type has no option groups (or an option group has no options), those columns are left blank on that row. Use this report to confirm the exact names and IDs to use when filling out an asset import file.
