Discount Codes on Gift Card Types: Boost gift card sales with promotional discounts! You can now create and apply discount packages and promo codes directly to Gift Card Types, whether customers buy gift cards at the Register or through the Store Portal.

Setup is simple. Select the Gift Card Type when you create a discount rule, generate your discount codes, and start offering special promotions on gift card purchases.

For example, you could offer a $50 gift card for $40. The guest pays $40 and gets the full $50 in value to spend at your venue. Promotions like this are an easy way to bring in revenue up front, attract new guests, and get past guests coming back.

Ideas for gift card promotions include:

• Holiday gift card sales: Run a Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or December promo code, such as “$50 for $40,” to win holiday gift budgets.
• Exclusive subscriber offers: Share a code only in your email newsletter or SMS list to reward loyal guests and grow sign-ups.
• Seasonal and holiday promotions: Time offers around Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or graduation season.
• Social media flash sales: Post a limited-time code on your social channels to create urgency and drive quick sales.
• Party and event upsells: Give birthday party hosts or event bookers a code for discounted gift cards they can share with guests or use for a return visit.

Because discount codes work at both the Register and the Store Portal, you can run the same promotion in person and online.
