Collect Phone Numbers in eCommerce Checkout

In this article, you will learn how to enable a field on the ecommerce checkout to collect the customers phone number. Here's how to do it:

  1. First, go to the eCommerce > Website and edit the website settings. Enable the Collect Phone Number at the Checkout option and click Save to proceed.eCommerce_Collect_Phone_Numbers_1.png

  2. To make sure the new field is showing, we can do a test sale on ecommerce. Add any product to the cart and proceed to checkout.

  4. Notice that you have two options for the checkout. If you already have an account, you already have your phone number in place and Aluvii won't collect it again. But if you proceed using the Guest Checkout, you will be providing your information.eCommerce_Collect_Phone_Numbers_4.png

  5. Now, on the order details screen, you will be required to fill in your personal information including the Phone Number. Click on Continue and proceed to the payment process.eCommerce_Collect_Phone_Numbers_5.png

  6. Finally, once you have successfully completed the transaction, the guest's name and phone number will show in Will Call > Sessions tab for easy lookup.eCommerce_Collect_Phone_Numbers_6.png
